今回のワークショップは日本でも有名な「ロンドンブリッジの歌」で始まりました。

軽快なリズムのこの歌は誰もが一度は歌ったことがあると思います。でも、慣れ親しんでいるこのナーサリーライムもジョーンズ先生のアドバイスをもとに、イントネーション・ストレス・リズムに気を付けて歌うと・・・あらら 不思議！グーンとグレイドアップされ、英語のナーサリーライムのワクワクする楽しさを心と身体で感じることができました。




私たちが知っている英語バージョンは、最後のMy fair ladyを短く切るように歌いますが、ジョーンズ先生が歌って下さったのはエリザベス朝時代の音楽の特徴を取り入れたものでした。先生の専門であるシェークスピアの作品「十二夜」の一節から“That strain again! It had a dying fall:”( いまの曲をもう一度！消え入るような調べであった ) を紹介、その消え入るような調べ “dying fall”でMy fair ladyと歌うと、まるでオードリー・ヘップバーンの 映画 ”My Fair Lady”のように優雅な音楽的効果がありました。　

次に先生が読んで下さった「プー横丁に建った家」の第６章にもブリッジ（橋）が出てきます。プーさんが新しいゲーム“Poohsticks” を発明します。橋の上から川に向かって松かさや木の枝を落として遊ぶゲームですが、なんとイギリスでは毎年大会が開かれるほど人気のある遊びです。

プーさんの本は日本でも翻訳版が出版されていますので、読んだ方も多いと思います。確かに、日本語版を読んだり、ある程度英語を理解出来れば自分で読んでも物語の内容はわかります。しかし、今回ジョーンズ先生の解説と朗読を聞いて、やはり英語で書かれた物語は原文で読まなければ本当の楽しさがわかりにくいものだとしみじみ実感しました。

例えば、プーさんのお話の中には、たくさんの“nonce words”と呼ばれる物語の中でその場限りで使われている言葉(例：thingish,coffy）や“overgeneralization”と呼ばれる子どもが母語を習得する過程などで間違って使ってしまう言葉（例：singy）が出てきます。それらは物語の中で効果的な役目を果たしていますので、翻訳するのは困難だと思います。また、over, alongといった前置詞や副詞も原文で読むことにより、生き生きとした効果を感じることが出来ます。

英語の本を読み聞かせる時は発音（pronunciation）に気を配って読むだけではその良さは中々伝わってきません。ナーサリーライムの時と同様、イントネーション・ストレス・リズムが整ってこそ、楽しさを心と体で感じることが出来るのだとわかりました。その読み方はジョーンズ先生のようなネイティブでなければ中々出来ないことですので、このワークショップで生で味わうことが出来て本当に幸せだと思いました。このようなワークショップを開催していただき、ありがとうございました。次回を心から楽しみにしています。]]> Workshop報告 http://silc-japan.com/?itemid=449 Sun, 11 Jul 2010 00:34:20 +2500 http://silc-japan.com/?itemid=446 「プー横丁に建った家」第４章

When it comes to levels of investment in IT, there is a disparity/gap between large companies and SMB's.　According to a survey on cloud system conducted by IMJ, the bigger the company, the far more likely that it has already introduced or is considering introducing the system.
In fact, it is precisely SMB's which benefit the most from cost reductions produced/brought about by cloud systems, which give access to outside sources through the Internet whenever necessary.

中小企業の借入金などの返済猶予を受けやすくする「中小企業金融円滑化法」、いわゆるモラトリアム法が12月4日に施行されました。
　　参院本会議で成立したのが11月30日でしたので、異例のスピードで施行されたことがわかります。これで中小企業も一安心かと思いきや、返済猶予を受けるには意外に条件が厳しく、大阪東信用金庫が地元の
　　中小企業を対象に調査したところ、返済猶予を受けられるのは希望企業のわずか5%にとどまったそうです。
